In January 2000 this company launched the Repotex S & Flor-Rekult logatainer ® plants, purifying plants used to create a mat of greenery for roofs. The mat is made of recycled textile. It has a high water-retention capacity and is not biodegradable. The plants are indigenous waterland and marshland plants which have been subjected to spartan cultivation methods for three years in order to activate their processing capability.
This product utilises the roof as a purification medium. The mat effects the development of water-purifying biotopes on flat and sloping rooftops, with a minimal load. The mats purify both rainwater and waste water. They also provide additional roof insulation, and thanks to their high water-reabsorption capability they are very useful in preventing flooding. In practice, the plants have also proven to be effective in noise reduction.
