Hemmis nv develop, install, maintain and integrate software products, software components and IT systems, providing IT solutions for data processing for all branches of environmental protection: waste, water, air, soil, hazardous substances, packaging waste, licensing, EMAS and ISO14001. WES environmental research and advice are dedicated to the implementation of environmental care systems for business. WES assist with businesses' internal environmental co-ordination in the area of environmental legislation and environmental administration. WES are also active in environmental effect reporting, and research to support policy with regard to integrated water management.
Together HEMMIS and WES have developed a new software package for launch in September 2000: EMAServer module® ISO14001 WES. The product provides a solution for every firm that needs to maintain an ISO14001 or EMAS management system. This software makes it possible to monitor the practical parameters which determine the continuity of every environmental care system. The application and its methodology is entirely new to Europe and can be replicated by any firm who need to comply with ISO14001 or EMAS.
The most innovative characteristics of the new software are:

• Direct linking of general environmental details, measurements and file contents to the methodology for compliance with ISO14001 of EMAS.
• Runs on a PC under Windows 95, 98 or NT and can function either in a network or in stand-alone configuration.
• Integrates all existing (digital) environmental information in a single centralised environmental system.
• Avoids the manual input of a great deal of environmental data.
• Tried and tested methodology for the identification of significant environmental aspects with the possibility of linking with an environmental action programme.
• Simplifies compliance and facilitates adaptation to future changes in acts or regulations, or the introduction of new products or services.
