METALogic have developed a technology for the analysis of risk and durability of buried metal structures like underground tanks and pipelines. The corrosion process is analysed by means of a limited investigation of the tank, the tank coating and the soil. The risk of structural failure (creating leaks) can be determined and the remaining life of the tank can be put into figures. The analysis may be carried out by an expert but may also be left to the METALogic expert system software package.
This risk and durability analysis can provide important information on the corrosion of underground fuel storage tanks, so that METALogic helps prevent contamination of groundwater and soil. The tank test was launched in January 1999 and is very suitable for the private sector. A well-trained technician can carry out all the necessary tests.
