The Eclipse MINNOX-LS inline burner was launched in May 1999. This equipment was developed for the direct heating of air and process gases in industrial processing plants. The burner works on the pre-mix principle, and has a flame stabiliser suitable for an excess of air up to 40%. The flame stabiliser also functions as a flash-back protection feature. The pre-mixed gas and air mixture and the excess of air ensure very low NOx emissions. The flame is fully protected from the process gases by a protective plate whereby the combustion process proceeds without affecting the process gases. Product characteristics are:
It is therefore possible to adapt the temperature profile of the process gases without making use of expensive statistical process air mixers.
These new properties open the way to new applications like the heating of flue gases in flue gas cleaning installations (DENOX). In industry, this system can be employed in all directly fuelled industrial drying plants.
